Orthodontic treatment in children and adolescents serves to correct misaligned teeth, to harmonize the position of the jaws and to prevent any future diseases.

Orthodontic treatment is already possible, before the removal of the deciduous dentition, when it concerns the correction of the discrepancy between the jaws or other skeletal disorders. If your jaws are already well aligned, you don't need to start earlier. Treatment can usually be started from the age of 3. It is very important for a parent to follow the child also in the changing of milk teeth at 6 and 12 years, in order to monitor the dental health, but also the position of the jaws or the general development of the child's mouth.

We have a wide range of possibilities:

Removable dental braces and an equally wide range of fixed and partially invisible dental braces that allow for different treatment options. The choice of the device and the duration of its application depend on medical needs and are planned individually.
Sometimes misaligned teeth can be related to other clinical situations. Therefore, we work closely with specialized pediatricians, speech therapists or ear, nose and throat specialists.
In addition to corrective treatment measures, prophylaxis is very important in the treatment of children and adolescents. Regular checkups and careful oral hygiene are especially important during orthodontic therapy to maintain dental health.
